The 3M Cold Shrink Splice Kit QS-III Series 5545A is designed to splice 46kV solid dielectric power cable. Qualified to IEEE Stn. 404, kits fit tape shield, UniShield®, wire shield and LC cables with a conductor range of 4/0 to 1000 kcmil (120 - 500 mm²) . Designed and tested for applications on Type MV-90 or Type MV-105 copper or aluminum conductors. Cold shrink splice body is a one-piece molded design made of specially formulated silicone rubbers, while the cold shrink jacket is made of EPDM rubber for physical protection. Each splice manufactured is factory tested for heightened reliability.
